Test Your Brain Power With Professor Layton And The Curious Village

One of the reasons I love this game so much is that it’s easy to pick up and put down. You can play for five minutes at a time or five hours. I should warn you though, last night I picked it up for a quick puzzle in an advert break, and fell into some strange space time continum; the next time I looked up nearly two hours had passed! Probably best to keep your wits about you if you’re on the bus or train.

Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle - DS

Despite the fact that most of the television adverts seem to be positioning the Nintendo DS as an adult hand-held console many of the games are aimed at the child or casual gamer. Having struggled to find something that might require a few brain cells to play I was intrigued by Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle. This point-and-click adventure stems from a critically acclaimed PC game series. With that kind of pedigree I figured it was worth a look.

Runaway, The Dream of the Turtle, the latest instalment in the successful adventure series will hit the shelves on October 31, 2008. The game, published by Ascaron and Focus Home Interactive will be released initially for the Nintendo DS console.
