Lego Indiana Jones - Put yourself in Indie’s shoes!

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is also extremely funny at times; especially when Indie comes face to face with a Lego snake which has his knees trembling and causes him to cower in the corner. This dry humour is carried through to the out takes, where the characters grunt rather than talk and the scenes are played out in a manner that I’m not sure Spielberg quite intended.

Test Your Brain Power With Professor Layton And The Curious Village

One of the reasons I love this game so much is that it’s easy to pick up and put down. You can play for five minutes at a time or five hours. I should warn you though, last night I picked it up for a quick puzzle in an advert break, and fell into some strange space time continum; the next time I looked up nearly two hours had passed! Probably best to keep your wits about you if you’re on the bus or train.

Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile - PC

When I was younger I used to love watching Agatha Christie movies; I’d try and see if I could solve the mystery before Miss Marple managed to. The more you watch the easier it becomes to spot the clues, and more often than not the murderer gives themselves away by talking something that hadn’t been revealed by the police. After all that ‘training’ I was keen to put my murder solving skills to the test with this Death on the Nile themed game.

Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle - DS

Despite the fact that most of the television adverts seem to be positioning the Nintendo DS as an adult hand-held console many of the games are aimed at the child or casual gamer. Having struggled to find something that might require a few brain cells to play I was intrigued by Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle. This point-and-click adventure stems from a critically acclaimed PC game series. With that kind of pedigree I figured it was worth a look.
